Here it comes

Tomorrow's the big day.  I'm both looking forward to it and dreading it.  I went to bed last night thinking, "WHAT did I get myself into?" but woke up thinking, "Bring it on."

I'm prepared to be in the worst mood possible, and I'm hoping I'll be pleasantly surprised that it isn't as terrible as I expect.  I'm pretty spoiled about wanting to eat what I want, when I want, and those items and quantities are sometimes insane by the standards of sensible people, so this is going to feel like getting out of the warm swimming pool and standing around in the air-conditioned locker room, I expect.  It's going to feel like forkfuls of cake are dangled in front of my face and then yanked away.  It's going to feel like I can view through the window all the happy diners laughing and indulging while my stomach growls until faint nausea sets in.  Yet, I will endure it and realize that what I want and what's best for me don't always align.

Here are a few notes, preemptively:
1. I will note my weight, height, and BMI every day
2. I will make just one blog post for each day, and edit it as necessary to include all food
3. I will re-use photos (Why take a new photo for each cup of coffee or apple when I have the coffee and apple pics already on my computer?)

First post, before challenge starts

Take a look at the pics under the "pics" tab.  I start Wednesday.  I will grouch out like never before, as I will  eat much more of what I should and much less of what I shouldn't (but otherwise would.) 

Food pics will be uploaded (if not up to the minute, then at least once per day) along with very short descriptions, and weight will be recorded daily.  Height will be given with weight, even though height (hopefully) doesn't change, for purposes of computing BMI. Although I have not collected official data yet, and won't until the first day, the data appears to be something like this: 5'10", 155 lbs. and 22.2 for BMI.
